Our aspiration at AMN Healthcare is to be the most trusted, innovative, and influential force in helping healthcare organizations provide a quality patient care experience that is more human, more effective, and more achievable.
Part of that aspiration is carried out through our values-based culture, which reaches beyond our offices and empowers our team members to engage with the causes that inspire them most, extending into local and global communities where we can make a positive impact.
The 2019 AMN Corporate Social Responsibility Report illustrates and celebrates the company’s accomplishments as a team throughout the prior year.
A few notable achievements include:
Investment in Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion
AMN is committed to working on initiatives to promote diversity, equality and inclusion in the workplace, workforce, marketplace, and community. Important work has been done to support people of unique communities, expand unconscious bias training, as well as expanding gender parity.
With regard to gender parity, The AMN Healthcare Board of Directors is comprised of 44% women, nearly double the national average. As of January 2020, 65% of AMN team members are women, with 62% of supervisor through senior manager roles being held by women.
Commitment to Community Engagement
AMN offers eligible team members up to eight hours of paid time off annually to volunteer at a nonprofit of their choice. Last year, AMN team members provided more than 17,800 hours of service to our communities. This resulted in an estimated $445,000 in financial support.
AMN also provided nearly $700,000 in direct funding to nonprofits focused on health and human services; women and children initiatives; diversity, equality, and inclusion; community and economic development; and civic initiatives. AMN also provided an additional $360,000+ of in-kind meeting space and support services.
Leadership in Corporate Governance
AMN embraces the opportunity to engage with stakeholders on corporate governance issues and lead the industry conversation on these important topics.
To support our team members, clients, and vendors in upholding the highest legal, regulatory, and ethical standards as well as the shared commitment to equal rights and fair treatment for all, we launched two important initiatives: Human Rights Policy and Vendor Code of Conduct.
This year’s report has a number of achievements which we are very proud of, and each is a component of our long-term business strategy, centered on sustainable and responsible growth.
